one neat little thing i discovered today,
that flickr finally launched video capabilities.
limited to 90 seconds and 150 mb upload.
not good for extensive web sitcoms,
but definitely good for video clips from digital cameras.
and their player is way sexier than youtube's.

this past weekend, jimmy totally reminded me
of how much i used to love math and puzzles when i was younger.
kinda sucks sometimes how you end up neglecting one skill for another,
however, i do have to add that

slipped on a behemoth block of ice,
lost control, slammed into a tree. hard.
while lying on my back, snapping out of vertigo,
i looked up and thought,
"huh. these trees look pretty. i should take some pictures."
no more riding superfast on unfamiliar terrain.
worst bail in four years.
my confidence is shot dude.
vermont man-made snow got nothin' on tahoe powder.
but whatever, i'm still going back this weekend.

last year there were about eight of us on crew.
this year, brooks and i were the only producers left.
we busted our asses to spit out 14 segments and 4 episodes in five days
on three hours of sleep per night and lots and lots of coffee.
but omg we had hella fun.
@the pcmag trailer: a girl cannot ask for a better partner in crime.
brooks woke me up around 7am after our 3-hour nap to show me this piece of anachronism
(view from my mgm grand hotel room).
thursday 4am. cracked out, but done!
mad love to the verizon people in the press room
for supplying us with cookies and lattes all week.

when annaliza left for wired,
i was really upset, felt like i lost my mentor.
then roger went to rev3 and i was left without any guidance
and an almost unfeasible deadline to produce a video
on five of the ten artists for the computerlicious project.
but i kinda just rolled with it,
figured i'd somehow make something somewhat coherent.
shot, cut and produced.
also, my laptop pictures were used on the abcnews website. yay. :)
